We are now strengthening our Substation South department in Malmö with a Substation Technician. Substation South is a total supplier in the construction of transformer stations and power plants in Southern and Western Sweden. We offer solutions throughout the process, from design to when a facility is ready to be commissioned. Our team also rebuilds existing transformer stations and power plants. We have specialist expertise in connection, testing, commissioning, and maintenance. ABOUT THE ROLE As a substation technician, you will be out in the field 4 days a week. Your main tasks include performing steel assembly, installing high-voltage devices, transformer connections, line assembly, cable connections, and grounding. You will also assist your colleagues with secondary tasks; installation of lighting, buildings, cable routes, building control cabinets, connecting control cables, VS center, etc. As a substation technician, you are responsible for

• building or maintaining distribution stations with consideration to legal requirements, safety regulations, and the customer's technical specifications.
• conducting risk assessments before each new work task and managing any risks in a correct and safe manner, taking into account safety regulations and analyzed risks.
• performing work according to ESA methods.
• conducting checks before commissioning, as well as checks of completed work according to the established self-control program.
• handling tools, machines, and protective equipment correctly and safely.
• documenting and reporting completed work clearly and accurately.
• communicating with colleagues and management, customers, and their operations center.

The position is located in Malmö and you report to the Business Unit Manager. YOUR PROFILE You have at least five (5) years of experience in electricity distribution and have experience working with the construction of substations, underground cable networks, and power lines. Furthermore, you have an education in electrical engineering from a vocational school or equivalent. You are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written, have a good command of English, are computer literate, and hold a B driver's license. It is an advantage if you have experience in assembly work within high voltage in substations. We are looking for someone who enjoys independent work as most of the work takes place in the field during the week. You are self-driven and take initiative, well aware of your and your colleagues' safety. Furthermore, you have good planning skills and find it easy to collaborate with different types of people.
